The goal of the first year is for students to assimilate the fundamental concepts of cognitive science, and to receive advanced methodological training.
In the first semester, students follow a pluri-disciplinary core curriculum that introduces them to the conceptual and methodological foundations of cognitive science.
In the second semester, students complete an internship in a research laboratory and choose advanced specialized courses.
Students take all of the courses in the following list:
+ students will take one of the following two courses based on their previous math level:
+ students will attend a PSL Week course in November, chosen from a wide range of options offered by different institutions within PSL (e.g., ENS, Mines Paris, Dauphine, ESPCI, Chimie Paris, etc.).
Throughout the second semester, students complete an internship with a workload of 1.5 days per week.
Alongside the internship, they take a project-based course led by H. Anllo, which requires them to conduct a literature review on a subject related to their internship.
Additionally, they select around three courses from the list below:
