The goal of the first year is for students to assimilate the fundamental concepts of cognitive science, and to receive advanced methodological training.
In the first semester, students follow a pluri-disciplinary core curriculum that introduces them to the conceptual and methodological foundations of cognitive science.
In the second semester, students complete a two-day per week internship in a research laboratory and choose advanced specialized courses.
Students take all of the courses in the following list:
+ students will take one of the following two courses based on their previous math level:
+ students will attend a PSL Week course in November, chosen from a wide range of options offered by different institutions within PSL (e.g., ENS, Mines Paris, Dauphine, ESPCI, Chimie Paris, etc.).
In addition to the two-day per week internship, students must select approximately 4 courses (for a total of 18 credits) from the following list:
